I just bought a 2008 Tacoma with a flatbed on it. The fuel filler neck is the stock one so it currently comes up through the flatbed sitting above the bed. I would appreciate any advice on how to re-locate this to be below the bed. Does anyone know of an after market filler neck that has rubber hoses rather than the metal lines to have more flexibility to mount under the bed? I can’t find any that include the fill line and the vent lines.

If I have to modify the factory one, would it be an issue to cut the middle sections out and replace the lines with rubber fuel line?

Does anyone know how to disconnect the yellow piece on the line as shown in the picture and what tools would be needed to do so?

Would cutting the metal hose at both ends and the using a rubber hose between work?
Obviously you don’t want to cut the metal hose on the truck.

Do it by hand, the yellow is a secondary connector stay.

You push it up, towards the bed, it will only got a little bit.

Then it will expose the 2 locking tabs on the actual black line, which you depress with your fingers, both at the same time. Then pull off line.
