Don't remember that being a rule.

We should ban topics about trucks, especially mid-size ones while we're at it. People are always arguing and insulting each other when the topic of trucks is brought up

Judgement from the weak minded.
Highly disappointed with Tacoma World and it's mods.

 

What is sad and just plain pathetic, is that there are those that don't like a belief or statement, they have a right to complain and have it removed. Then there's the simple sheep that follow suit.

 

Trying to be objective Jason, maybe put in the CoC exactly that.

Not exactly crystal clear. More of “at mod discretion” IMO.

The atmosphere at Tacoma World is meant to be welcoming and friendly to anyone who visits. Therefore, the staff of this site have laid out the following guidelines:

Use of offensive and inflammatory language, discussions or content targeting an ethnic, political or religious group, gender, sexual orientation, name calling and humiliating or bashing members, this includes targeting threads or tagging members to join in to demean, degrade or detract from the topic is prohibited in the forums of Tacoma World. Political discussion will result in a 30 day ban.This includes postings of any political memes or gifs. Talk or displays of reckless driving, street racing and excessive speeding are also not permitted on Tacoma World. Discussions, links, pictures and videos of illegal activities are not permitted on Tacoma World

Personal attacks or threats against other members will not be tolerated and generally results in expulsion from the site.

Any link pertaining to affiliate links, self-promoting links including YouTube channels, crowdsourcing, or fundraiser links of any kind are not permitted without prior approval by the staff. This includes personal fundraising through GoFundMe, Patreon, etc. This applies to any fund raising means as well; such as raffles, lotteries, etc.

Fundraising accounts should be for legitimate needs (mainly life/safety contributions. House lost in fire, medical care, etc.) and must have prior approval from the TW staff. The reasoning for this is the staff have recently noticed someone create a "GoFundMe" account at the reasoning of "Saw another TW member doing it so I figured what the hell why not lol." This is NOT a GoFundMe forum and we are not about asking for handouts.

Should you have reason to take issue with a thread or post content, please discuss it with the Site Administrator or Moderators. Do not feel obligated or empower yourself to deal with the issue on their behalf. Such action will not be tolerated since it quickly spins out of control and the consequences are irreversible. Such unwarranted action almost never remedies the issue but hurts and brings disrepute to all of us Tacoma owners and enthusiasts.

Images or discussions that are questionable or sexual in nature DO NOT belong on the forum. Images of persons wearing bathing suits are permissible presuming there is no excessive cleavage, buttocks, or other items of that nature deemed that may be inappropriate. "Thread baiting" with use of 'sexy pictures' is not to be conducted.

The word "would" should not be added after a photo as it only asks for unnecessary comments.

A vast cross section of people browse this popular site from their places of work and/or homes where co-workers or family members are in close proximity. These members should not have to worry about potentially embarrassing images appearing on their screen as a result of careless posting.

Links that are not safe for work "NSFW" are also not permitted here, at TacomaWorld.com.
Any violation of the guidelines set out above will be dealt with by the moderators at their own discretion, including permanently banning members who decide to go against the rules and spirit of the site.

 

Problem solved. Well not really, but best you can do.

Goodness. Part of being a human being, especially an adult human being, is dealing with people with different views and opinions and accepting the fact that not everyone believes the same thing. Let the volunteers who run this free site run it as they please, they put up with enough bullshit as it is.

I can't believe how pissy people get over these topics.

While I may not agree with the decision that was made because it was art. We do have to abide by the rules of the site because it is a privately owned site. I thought it was a nicely done photo. The tribe has spoken, let's not draw attention to ourselves in here please. I see that the rules have been amended to reflect that rule in a clear manner. A lot here are newer members but some of the people who have been here a long time know that they have always kinda had a rule about religion and politics. Those subjects seems to bring a lot of emotions out in some people and cause quite a stir.


@Norsemanvike I'm sorry someone reported it and got it removed. I thought it was a well done photo. Let's move on and keep the peace here. No one is going to win it back so we should just carry on.


I'll leave it with rule 4: Art is pain, life is suffering.
