So im posting up here for any knowledge. My truck just got towed home 6hrs from my friends because my truck popped a CEL and started idling badly then shut off. Had no throttle input. She started up not great and idled badly. Eventually I got no more starting. Just crank crank crank. I took a mallet and was smacking the tank/skidplate and she started stumbling/burping again to almost start. Then randomly it fired right up but as soon as i tried throttle. Either stalled or wouldnt go past 2000 RPM. Are any other 17 tacomas affected by this fuel pump recall? Im worried that I might be on my own for this. P0087 popped up for fuel system/rail delivery low. Do you think ill be able to get a fuel pump done under this recall even though its only for 18-19 apparently? I got almost 70000miles on her. She is a early 17 TRD OR. Made July or June of 2016. I dont think its coincidental that my trucks pump decided to just randomly shit the bed on mid trail ride. Was not good at all to manually steer this truck and drag on rocks.

I don't think 2017 Tacoma's are affected by the fuel pump recall (officially). I just traded my 2017 in and had zero issues with it from initial purchase until trade, but I had very low mileage. Mine was manufactured in March of 2017 I believe, so the trucks may not have been of the same pedigree.

That DTC can be caused by quite a few things:
    - Fuel leak
    - Previously running out of gas
    - Misfires
    - High side fuel pressure sensor
    - Low pressure on the low side
    - High side fuel pump
    - ECM

I'm sure there are more, but that's all I read on it.

Agreed. Not sure for sure but I hear the high pressure but I don't hear the fuel pump in the tank making noise. I rarely run my tank low or empty on fuel and I have a full tank
