    I was in Frenchglen, Oregon a few weeks ago and the only beer they had in the “mercantile” other than PBR, Coors, Bud etc was Pelican Kiwanda, in bottles, from Tillamook. Now I know where the name comes from. Good beer! Unfortunately, of the six bottles, four leaked in the cooler on the way up the Steens washboard. A rough road, plus few thousand feet elevation change and corresponding outside pressure drop ... still it’s never happened to me before. Most of the bottles just lost some contents but one drained all 12 ounces. A waste of good beer, and it was a hassle cleaning up the cooler.

    Decided not to camp there Was open but actually was rough spot kind of creepy..Salt Point.state park was nicer but full ..
    Splurged for a room at Timber Cove very nice !
