i have a 2016 sr5 with the standard "driving" fogs, and i happen to have a set of TRD OR "wide angle" fogs that have been sitting in my tool box for 2-3 years now. I want to use them, and i know i can just swap them...but what im wondering about is going from 19w to 55w. are the wire leads the same to the lights on our trucks between models? i couldnt imaging them using two different harnesses. I dont feel like melting anything this week.

    anyone know?
PS- i searched quite a bit this afternoon. couldnt find anything. (im sure its out there somewhere)

Wiring and connectors should be the same, I believe it was just the assembly that changed between models. You can double check your fog circuit fuse, you should have at least a 10A fuse to run 55w fogs, but you'll more than likely have a 15A fuse.

just checked after your post- its a 15. so the wiring is def good enough.
already popped on in. took longer to get the damn splash guard loose. beam is definitely wider

thanks for getting back to me!
