Yay! 3am smoke detector decides 77% battery is low enough to scream it every minute.

We have cathedral ceilings so its a lot of fun getting an extended ladder in to pull the detector.

These are zwave that are smartphone controlled except when the battery level is low (77%).

This happened a few months ago so I replaced all four with 10 year lithium batteries.

This is the second one this month to go off at 3am.

I just ordered a 4 pack of nest protect detectors. Not cheap but they don't beep when the battery is low.
They text your phone instead.

Now I can't sleep.

Yesterday our governor extended the state mask mandate. Moved it out another 60 days, until November 21st.

 

They ALWAYS beep in the dead of the night.

No joke. A few years late to the first post, but I turned 50 during the height of the covid lockdown. Things pop and creek that never did before, but still love the Toyo trucks after 30 years of owning them.
