2018 Tacoma - engine running, three beeps when door open/closed

Can anyone instruct me on how to shut off the annoying, unnecessary beeping every time I step out of my truck and shut the door (ANY of the four doors), or open and close a back door, while the engine is running?

I don't have a fix for you to turn the beeping off, but I'm pretty sure it's related to your "keyless" key (fob) being outside of the truck. So if your fob is in your pocket, and you're outside of the truck, then the truck will beep whenever you close a door. Leave the fob in a cupholder or something, no beeping.

Maybe you already knew this, but considering that no one else has chimed in yet, I figured I give you my two cents.

 

mine doesn't beep. only thing it beeps at me for is at work when i'm driving around with no seat belt (driving around a parking lot)

 

Unplug your beeper.

 

Now that is something you can turn off. Techstream or Carista, I believe, can change the settings so that it doesn't beep while you drive without a seat belt.
