I’m looking at 285/70/17 tires because available in both c and e load options

I am a little confused. Some of the c and e tires are same weight

Example cooper atp E 55lbs and ridge grappler C is 55lbs

what can be taken from this? Will a c load tire that weighs as much as a e drove the same but have thinner side walls?

I am trying to keep weight down with the new larger size tires.

If weight is the same does it make more sense to go with e load or will a E load tire still drive and feel worse than a C load tire in same weight?

    tires I’m looking at are
    Ridge grappler
    Wildpeaks at3
    Hancook atm rf10/11

    I’d avoid the E load.

That was my original plan because of weight. Now that they are same weights in some males, wondering if the c and e are both 55lbs go E

what do you do with your truck? The Raptor comes with C load tires and its heavier.

I would pick the tire you want, and then get that one in the C load. It will be lighter than the E of the same tire. Don’t choose based on one brand E being lighter. Unless you really think you need E

That’s tough because most models aren’t available in c and e

I believe the grapplers and wildpeaks you are looking at are. I may be wrong.

I think you are correct. The Wildpeaks are a tough one because Falken lists the c load as heavier than e load in 285

Interesting. Looks like the discount tire page only shows an SL or C in that size, but falken does show the C and E with the C heavier. Guess you’ll have to do a little research if you want that tire. :notsure:
