    EDIT:
Low idle is normal when reconnecting or swapping out a batterie, the computer needs to relearn the correct idle and driving patters

2nd gen 5mt Tacoma base model I just added oem fog lights, had the battery disconnected for an hour or so and now when I’m in neutral or just stopped I idle around 400-500 rpms. I am over due for new spark plugs but it ran like a champ before. My research is pointing towards it’ll take a while to relearn the correct idle because the fog lights are stealing power ?? Or is it just because I had the battery disconnected for a while ? Thanks I’m advance for any answers. Will update post with the answer to this problem for future tacomaholics !

Most likely will run like this until all the monitors have run and performed their checks. I believe it's running in open loop until at least the o2 monitor has run and come back good. I wouldn't worry too much about it. But if you feel the need to do anything, replace those plugs and clean your throttle body. Should be fine overall though.

Part 2..the battery disconnected means your computer is going to re-learn. Even if you just did that to replace the battery it would happen.

Thanks, just had to clarify what I read from other posts. Any idea how long it would take ? And if it’ll relearn it on an hour or so drive (work tomorrow) ? Can’t bear to let it sit and the drive way and idle that low until it relearns it lol

Yeah you should be fine in a day or so with that drive. I had mine unhooked last year replacing the battery and just drove it 10 minutes home after, but I don't recall it taking more than the next day after to refresh

Evap monitors will take the longest to run on their own. They have a very specific drive cycle/pattern to get to run. O2 monitor has a pretty detailed one but yeah I would better a day or two of normal driving should do the trick.
