I am looking at what options do I have to replace the factory audio receiver I have in my 2019 Tacoma. I have the JBL upgrade but I hate the tuner.

    Thank you

I hear people complain about the Tacoma’s radio system I like Mine works Great! Sounds Great! So I don’t know what the problem is maybe everyone is use to aftermarket systems and 600 watt amps for every 2 speakers but for me does everything I like & sounds better the factory radio my 2009 Tacoma TRD sport had

I totaly hear you, but what I do not like is the lack of options as some of the other systems have and or to be able to sync apps and such. My bluetooth drops calls for no reason my XM is also not as good as the aftermarket one I had in my 2013 Tacoma. So I was wondering what others who might have upgraded used.

Man that is disappointing to hear. You would think you could expect better from JBL. My 2020 TRD Sport Premium is non JBL as not available with manual transmission. I would first upgrade the dash tweeters to the Subaru Kicker tweeters which are direct plug and play. This is my upcoming mod and apparently gives a nice boost to the OE audio.

    Look on crutchfield.com

Lots of nice head units are available for our trucks, just depends how much $$ you want to spend.

Not sure from what i here on TW is people trying to do it them selfs & doesn’t work out very good my advice if you ever change something from factory to aftermarket find a good Indy shop in your area and have them do it right and who has done lots already that way it will be under warranty & working properly When you pick it up after it’s done you can bring to them if there is ever a issue Imo.good luck
