    I've actually been wondering: how does someone tune for power?

    There's currently no support for my wife's 4runner but when there eventually is, how do I say...give it more low end oomph if I went in and started editing the stock tune? Or how do you take a Tacoma file and add power across the RPM range?

    All the edits so far that people have been sharing and tweaking are excellent progress, people are doing really great stuff as they learn along the way. But they're more or less quality of life stuff. What about when people inevitably want more or move on to other vehicles, stuff like that?

    I'd prefer to not be the guy that just tunes for AFR and runs super rich lol

    Brutal. Glad you got it done though.... If you aren't in a rush to put the ECM back in I can send you a pin to put in the connector so you don't have to take it out of the truck if (when) this happens again.

    Yep! Well I’m glad now I know that’s the problem and would have had to register another one always.


    we’ll see. It took about 100 miles or so before the CEL came in.

    @OVTune,
    Question. If Im at 91% load, ~2200 rpm, 45% accelerator, but the throttle position is not going over more than 35%.
    The throttle limits by gear is set to have a small gap.
    Do I tinker with these 2 tables to bring the gap closer? If yes, do I need to keep smoothing curves and go beyond mentioned 2000 rmps?

    Very happy it is fixed ! I worked nights /3rd shifts for years , and I get the curtained sleep chamber ? , also ear plugs/ and disconnecting the phone etc.
