    I will reply here.

    First, i haven't done the accumulator delete yet. I say yet because when i went to order the parts the check out wouldn't complete. I don't want to order the kit if i can get the same thing for cheaper.

    As far as post accumulator feel, i can't say anything about it.

    How did you measure the pedal height? 7 inches from the metal directly under the pedal? Or to that little bulge in the left side? You peeled the carpet back right? I measured directly under then added the thickness of the pedal to that measurement.

    The big return spring on the top of the pedal is a dual purpose spring. I think it's called a break over spring? Basically it helps to lift the pedal at the top, but helps to push after a certain point.

    I noticed on mine, with the pedal too high, that it seemed to change from helping to hurting right at the clutch engagement point. This sudden jolt hurt my shifting. When i adjusted the pedal height and free play this went away. Now it seems to break over just after engagement.

    My pedal was to high because the height adjuster (cc switch) bracket is bent. My switch sits at an angle and not straight. I was closer to 7.5+ inches off the floor. Once this was corrected, and free play adjusted, the pedal feels way better.

    I have very little pedal free play. Just enough to where you can click the pedal against the push rod. I can also click the push rod around by hand, i know it is not riding it, but leaving the least amount of free play allows for a tighter feel. I do not ride with foot on pedal.

    That being said, I'm still removing the clutch slipping assister.

    Here's how I measure the pedal height. I pulled back the carpet and insulation. That little red dot is a small raised section in the sheetmetal floor. I avoided that when measuring. The thickness of the pedal was included. Mine was right at 7 inches.

    I'm a little confused on how to check the push rod free play.

    And if I adjust to remove half an inch of pedal free play, it will bring the pedal closer to the floor? So I'll need to adjust the pedal height back to 7 inches? At that point I'm not sure what effect that has on the pushrod.

    I guess I just need a suggestion for how to find the pushrod free play.

    I set my pedal height where i wanted it. It's slightly under 7" avoiding the hump in the floor.

    Then i adjusted the rod until i had just a touch of free play between the pedal to the rod. As long as you leave enough to fully release the clutch, and not so little to ride the clutch you should be fine

    Yeah, I had about a half inch or more of free play before the pedal touched the push rod. I adjusted some of it out just to make it engage a tad sooner, but making sure it fully disengages when the pedal is at rest.

    The instructions posted about pedal free play being different than push rod free play are confusing, or maybe I'm not understanding it.

    Adjusting the push rod free play was easy...except for the part where I don't fit under the dash without folding myself into a pretzel.

    I'm reading the service manual and I also am confused. I think that you adjust the pedal height to where you want it, then adjust the push rod. I don't want to F my clutch up. Right now I have about 1" of pedal free play before resistance (plus I get click noise). The push rod is loose but there doesn't seem to be much play. The pedal end of the push rod kind of flops around. At this point I'm thinking about lengthening the push rod. I know that you you need some clearance so that cylinder is not compressed at all.

    Yes. That was the source of my clicking. Adjust the push rod per the SM and verify that there is free play cold and hot. You don't want to block the compensation port in the M/C or wear the TOB.

    OK I adjusted (lengthened) the push rod. The jam nut is a 12 and the end to which it gets jammed is a 13. A small adjustment fixed the excessive free play and the clicking noise. A little tricky to get both wrenches on there at once but not too bad. Thanks for advice.
