He should be awake, but just recently though....

 

Decided to cram my winch in the truck at 2AM last night. Made it harder than it need to be by not dropping the bumper. Beat the hell out of my arms trying to thread bolts through the d-link holes. Finally thought to make a custom tool to hold the bolt and thread it.
It's in and secure, but I still need to mount the control box in the engine bay and wire everything up.

 

Those slots on the front of the bumper don't line up to where the bolts are where you can use an extension and socket to get the bolts in?

 

Nope, they are too close to where the front plate meets the winch plate so a socket wrench was too big.

 

Need to unspool the winch and rewrap it. Check for damage while I'm at it just in case.

 

Respooled Winch Sunday after the sun went down since I spent all morning doing leaves...... I never hated trees as much as I have since becoming a homeowner. When I build a house finally there aren't gonna be any trees within a certain radius of the house, I'll still maintain the perimeter of the property though. Well if I can find treed property.

Anyway, seeing about doing another Coastal Group buy through one of the local FB groups like last time. Maybe pick up the skid set on discount.

 

Annnnd high clearance bumper...?
