TV Repair Guru's HELP!

Ok so my LCD tv crapped out on me. I've currently got it totally blown apart into different pieces. When you first turn it on it works fine for about 20-30 seconds, then the screen starts going blue, white, all kinds of random colors. I've checked all the boards and can't see where anything appears to have burnt up. Any ideas??????????

 

How old or how many hours on the TV? Oh and what size?

 

probably 2 1/2 yrs old... not a clue on hours... 46" LCD... crappy a$$ sanyo.

 

seems to me like the display must be fine since it will work for a few seconds, so the way I figure it must be the main board or that small board at the top backside of the screen....

 

t con board maybe??? From my research looks like that's what does the picture control on the lcd....

 

Sub'd, maybe I can learn something from the outcome of this.

Yea this thing has been acting up for awhile now. Finally decided to tear into it today and see what I could figure out. I'm about half tempted to just order a new tcon board and see if that fixes it.

 

t con board = Circuit board?? I'm electronics clueless

how much would it cost in comparison to a new tv?

 

Apparently the tcon board is what actually controls the lcd display. in price comparison, new tv of equal size = $800, new tcon board = $80
