So, when I first picked up this shell for my truck, the back hatch, rubbed through the clear coat on the tailgate. Is there anyway to fix it, would I wet sand the clear, or is there a product to help with this?

    Thanks

If it went through the clearcoat, there isnt anything you can do short of respraying it.

Well hopefully it didn't go all the way through, as of right now it just looks kind of like a hazy line where it rubbed.

If it just looks hazy, take some polish and polish it by hand, and see how it polishes up. If you're already through the clear, it won't shine up, your base-coat will be exposed which doesn't shine up too well.

You can put some touch-up clear on it if you need to. It won't look the best, but at least it will provide protection, and keep the rust away.
