    The thing I don't get is that there should never be any measurable amount of vacuum in the air cleaner box. I understand the logic behind vacuum sensing fuel pressure regulators, but I can't visualize what this vacuum line to the air cleaner box is accomplishing.

    You got me beat haha that sounds like a great story!

    Im back on my feet now but I can milk it a little more. My wife is realizing though that I'm hurt when it's something I dont wanna do. But the truck or grilling? I'm good to go

    I'm guessing that the code was from unmetered air getting into the air box and not a result of the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line being disconnected.

    Probably. It went away with the red straw epoxy fix. Thanks again, all!

    This might be obvious, but make sure that the epoxy hasn't plugged the hole.

    That’s what a drill bit or the red straw does... keeps the hole open once repaired.
