My Dad bought this new but barely drove it. He followed all maintenance schedules, changed the oil every year even if he did less than a thousand miles. He added the wheels when new, and put the OEM wheels in the garage, which are still in new condition. He also added seat covers, so the seats are also in mint condition.

Anyhow, he is now 95 and in the last stages of Alzheimer's...but doing well. My Mom asked if I wanted the truck, so I grabbed it yesterday. Cost only $15 in DMV fees to transfer as it was just renewed and smog tested. The only thing I need to address is the foggy headlight plastic. But overall the truck is in beautiful condition and will now be my daily driver.

Anyhow, here it is...and yes, that is the actual miles.

Damn! Very nice. Be sure to take good care of it. Lucky, a truck like that would go for a pretty penny.

I dunno. $15 is pretty steep for a 2nd gen with true low miles and such good condition it's unheard of.

Congrats on your truck and welcome to TW!

Whoa, I thought my '06 had low miles with 89,000. That's a new truck you got there. It should roll for years.

    Nice truck you have there.

As for the headlights, I’ve “restored” mine twice now.
I used the kits you get from the Auto parts store.
Meguires and 3m. They usually only last about 1.5 years before they are faded/ foggy again.

Best of luck to you and your father both.

    And Welcome to TW.

Nice looks similar to mine when I got it from my grandparents that passed. Got it with 40k now it has 66k on it.

    Thanks!

I bought the 3M one, I also saw that Meguiers sells a sealer that is supposed to prevent it happening. But not sure if it is just for new lenses.

The kit comes with sealer. It is probably what wear off and allows it to start turn the plastic hazy.
I guess you might be able to use it on new lenses? Never thought about that?
