    Hey everyone,

I have a silly question but I haven't been able to find an answer here. I'm looking to upgrade wheels are tires on my '18 TRD OR DCSB and I think I've narrowed it down to a set of SCS Stealth8 16x8 wheels and Toyo OC AT3s in a 265/75 R16 (no lift for a few more years per a domestic.... contract. :) )

The Toyo website says that the approved rim width is 7" to 9" with 7.5" being optimal. The wheels are 8" wide. Obviously it's well within the approved range but is there anything to be aware of on not hitting the sweet spot like airing down for example?

Any input or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I've got the Toyo at3 in a 265/70/17 on a 9" wheel. My understanding is that 'its fine, just watch out airing down too far'. (Eventually I'll get setup for a 285 and probably go there for the next tire). Same recommended wheel width range.

In your case, you are within spitting distance of optimal. You shouldnt have any extra concerns about width.

Thanks PinStripes! I was hoping that would be the situation. I appreciate the feedback.

How do you like Toyo At3. Ride, noise, handle on wet road?

I have been running FN Countersteer Offroad 16x8 with Cooper AT3 SL's 265/75-16 for about 60k and have had no issues with them. Despite some balance/vibration issues but not strange wear issues. Cooper recommends 7.5" as well. I would be more concerned about offset/back spacing. Stick with a 4.5" back spacing/0 offset and you should be fine. And of course an alignment and steering and suspension components is good condition.

So I don't have much experience with truck tires. These aren't any louder than stock. They have drastically better rain performance. They seem to handle loose surfaces and uneven ground with less slipping. Haven't gotten to see them in the snow yet but I look forward to it... The stock tires really were bad in snow. So far so good (only 3k miles but they are all fun miles since the commute went to zero)

These are not the E rated tires.
