I bought my truck from the original owner 4 years ago and at that time it had 54k miles on the odometer . Four years later I've only put 22k miles on it or 5500 per year

Started with an 1985 used then bought an 87 new. Had a few other vehicles in between then next came a 2013. Drove that over 150000 miles and now have the 20.

I bought my first Toyota truck around 1990, it was a used 1987 2WD long bed. The truck had about 50k miles on it when I bought it and just under 300k miles when I got rid of it. I never had to replace anything on that truck except the starter, tires and brakes. I just sold a Tundra and I'm waiting for my new Tacoma to arrive at my dealer in mid/late October. We currently have a Camry and Rav4 sitting in our driveway. I can't remember ever having any major mechanical issues with any Toyota that we have owned.

I've been a gear head since I could hold a hot wheels.

Been a "Toyota guy" since my first car, an MR2.

Didn't get my first Toyota truck (3rd gen 4Runner) until 2013, and my first Tacoma in 2017.

Don't think I'll ever leave Toyota, they build a good truck, my Uncle has two tundras, one 4.7 with close to 600k now and another 5.7 approaching 300k.

My Runner had 275k when I sold it (for more than I bought it for) and my Taco has 230k.

But I have wanted a Toyota truck from the bottom of my soul to go play in the dirt since I first saw Ivan ripping in Baja back in the early 90's in what is still in my humble opinion the best looking truck ever crafted.

For two years. I never thought I'd be a Toyota fan, but here we are, two years later. No one can ever convince me to buy another car brand.

This is my first Toyota truck that I bought in 2017 but I have owned Toyota products since 1989 and except for Mazda and maybe Honda I wont own anything else. The only reason I didn't have a Tacoma sooner is that I had a pesky 86 Mazda B2200 that would not die. It was still running but wouldn't pass e-check when I finally had to let it go. Its to bad Mazda stopped selling trucks in the USA. I was actually afraid to drive it near the end. All the mounts to the body were rotted away from the frame and the floor was so far gone in the bed that I changed the fuel pump with out removing the gas tank. I tend to keep cars from beginning to end. The Tacoma I hope will out last me.
