Help: Need Composite Bed Storage Box and Cover

Hi all,
Newbie here. So I knew when I bought my 2020 Tacoma Sport that Toyota deleted the composite bed storage box from the driver's side, leaving the passenger side storage box in tact.

I want to add the storage box back to where it was. However, can I safely (and easily) "cut out" the plastic to make a hole for a storage box, specifically, one from the factory or a Tuffy brand storage box.

Below are a couple of pictures of what I'm looking for. My 2016 had the storage boxes on both sides and they come in so handy. Any and all comments appreciated......Bryan
