Needing seat covers. A LOT of them 'out there'...but what ones have members discovered were actually decent, and priced that way too?

Also: Does anyone know if the passing of the years, IE: could weather and "age" 'wear out' a timing belt on my 98 Tacoma SR5, ext cab, 4WD, 5 speed?
It isnt due for one for 40k more...BUT it is 9 years old...having sat in Minnesota for 5 years, with almost no use. Thank you!!!

If you want custom fit seat covers that are good quality look at Wet Okole. They’re expensive but expensive for a reason.

That timing belt is on double-borrowed time. Time is just as important as mileage, and the fact that it sat for 5 years in 1 position taking a 'set' where it was wrapped around the gears and tensioners makes it highly likely to have developed age cracks in those spots when it started moving again.

These look like they fit way better than my $170 Cover King covers. What’s the material?

Hey David, there are three pockets as pictured below in this order...side, front, & rear. Let me know if you need any additional photos.

I removed my seats to install the covers. Much easier to install and get the covers tight with the seats out, and you can vacuum all that hidden stuff under the seats!!

Super easy to remove the seats on these trucks. I want to say they're 14mm bolts, only four of them. Then the connector for the driver's side buckle.

I just got Amazon ones (Durafit Seat Covers) and love them. Put them on when I switched to 4runner seats and they are great. I’ve had them about a year and still look the same.

*edit: I got mine for 50 bucks but I see they can get closer to $100.

Carhartt - I have them on my 2019 and this is a pic of a set in my son's 2002 TRD OR 4x4 (access cab)...he loves them. They are very durable - we have a horse farm on a river and he also does blacksmithing/forging so he gets them dirty a lot. They are easy to take on and off to wash. This pic is when they were new, but they still look terrific.

These are the ones I almost purchased. The look nice, and the Carhartt material is pretty tough!

It's nice - we like the Filson Tin Cloth much better (I wish I could get seat covers in that stuff - though you can not wash Tin Cloth) - but Filson is not what it was 20 years ago either. Carhartt is still a good value - where Filson has gone more for style on many products and the prices are still out of sight...I didn't mind the prices when it was the toughest around (though their Tin Cloth and Mackinaw Wool is still good).

The "Filson Tin Cloth" reminds me of my dad's hunting gear or like the older style barn coats. You're right, that would be an awesome choice as a seat cover.
