What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Removed an Injen intake and took the opportunity to install my ARB compressor on a Slee mount. I still need to do the wiring.

 

33" in stock location (specifically 255/85/16 ). Pizza cutter all the way.

 

Finally joined the @MESO fan club by adding his two color dome light and steering wheel logo cover. Both are great products and it is even hard to discard his packaging which is top notch quality. Also got the replacement bolt which I stripped and finished installing the TRD Pro coilovers. The second side took only half the time since I finally knew what I was doing. Even though the TRD pro coilovers were 2 1/2 inches compared to the OEM coilovers which were only 1 3/4 inches the weigh difference was only 2 pounds because of the aluminum bodies on the Pros.

I'm assuming the side panels are full window height? How do they stay in place? And are you able leave your windows cracked/get circulation with them in place?

I have a 285/75 r16 in there, no mods needed, and I was using the stock spare wheel before I purchased my SCS wheels (I drilled a new whole to move the chain roller back just to make it easier), you just have to guide the tire towards the hitch as you raise it up.

 

Held in place just through friction. I’ve never had one fall. They do cover the whole window, so No, you can’t crack the windows. But they cover so well, you really don’t need to ventilate.

 

Backrack installed. Tip. The lock washer are a pain. Pre-flattening them a skosh will reduce the aggravation.

 

Finally got around to installing c4 bumper reinforcement brackets. I have the SSO off-road slim line bumper with fix coil overs and resi. They will fit just a little work to get them there.

 

@MESO Maps and dual color dome installed. Couldnt be happier. Toyota needs to collab with Meso and make a Tacoma TRD Meso Edition. Id buy one

 

$2780 installed. Only one windoor. No pop-n-lock or leds. Loaded otherwise.

 

Bought new tires and went from 245/75/16 to 265/70/16.

replaced the batteries on both my key fob’s.
Had 2 more and replaced my sisters batteries on her corolla key fobs.

I have never used, nor known anyone to use a headache rack. What is the point?

 

took out the off road chrome tails and installed the pro black tails...

 

Couple things.
A ladder angled from the bottom of the closed tailgate over the roof. Protects the cab roof. Lumber/planks too.
Stacking firewood above the side rails and against the cab, without shoving a blanket/tarp or cardboard in there to prevent damage to window or cab.
Moving large stuff. Use this to secure stuff and keep it from hitting the cab, again with no need for blankets, etc.
I will also be adding a shelf below and this will be a place to secure things that are sitting on the shelf.
Some folks, not me, add lights up there or antenna's.
It is handy without getting in the way.....in my opinion.
I will get some in use shots as I use it.

 

Curious where is the best place to purchase the Pro tail lights from?

1. how much did those cost you?
2. is that black trim instead of the chrome trim the only difference between the two sets?

 

Do you think those brackets would be strong enough to hold the Hi-Jack above itself, rather than below it?

I'd like to make a similar bracket mount for myself, but I have a Decked system in the way on the below-side.
