In your case, it might be a good idea to get some hoses made. I never researched parts for the 13WL setup after finding my calipers on a wrecked Tundra.

There are some folks on here that went the route you want to take, I just can't remember where to find them! I actually find that searching from google, ie: "tacomaworld 13WL calipers", tends to provide faster results for me.

The LCE kit comes with 13WE calipers.

Or do you mean the LCE brake line kit? A hard brake line kit is definitely something I recommend, though you can get them much cheaper than LCE now...

I meant the brake line kit which includes SS lines and hard lines. I thought that is what you were all talking about was not compatible...

Just received my AdventureTaco brake line kit in the mail today! I've got all the parts needed to do the BBK upgrade now. I just need a day off to do it. Lol

Well I finished my 13WL upgrade today. Took me a couple hours. The hardest parts were taking the clips off the soft line on the frame, and putting the bronze clip on the caliper hardline on the spindle. Damn that bronze clip was a huuuuge pain. Everything else went smoothly.

Thanks to AdventureTaco for the write up on his website that made the process super easy, also for the caliper hardware.

Edit: I'm using stock "snowflake" wheels and they fit perfectly fine.

The "Bronze" clips from Adventure Taco are way to "thick" due to their concavity on the "fingers". I used Toyota OEM ones that are "flat" and they slide in with plenty "grip". I tried to get the other ones in for about 20 seconds and I remembered I had purchased OEM ones. Got them started by hand then finished them off with gentle taps form a hammer. Now to get rid of the "Spongy" pedal.....

Man...understanding the mc differences would have saved me about a gallon of brake fluid and hours of cussing lol. The difference between the feel of abs in my 03 and non abs in my 02 is distinct. I wonder if anyone is experiencing soft pedal feel with abs?..

I've found any vehicle with abs tends to have a softer feeling pedal when it comes to toyotas. My non abs taco vs an identical abs taco feels much firmer. same went for my 06 non abs corolla VS abs corolla...

I guess my tundra can be compared to the taco to... it has the larger brakes from the factory in the front, same exact drums as the taco out back. The pedals a bit softer than my taco when it had the same exact setup (even the master cylinders are the same and i wouldn't be surprised if the booster is too.)

After bleeding it a second time and driving a couple hundred miles, the brakes feel waaaaaay better than ever, definitely a sick upgrade. Pedal is not as spongy as the first bleeding, and nowhere near as spongy anymore as in the beginning of the second bleeding. A 3rd bleeding will probably be the last I'll need.

It’s probably the different booster and mc more than ABS / non-ABS since ABS and non-ABS 96-00’s with the dual diaphragm booster have less success with the tundra brake upgrade in terms of having a soft pedal from feedback on here.

Okay so I bled it the 3rd time, and the pedal is hard with no play. Literally no play, no more squish. Felt like I was braking in my Audi. Lol. 3rd time is the charm.

I bled with someone in the truck pressing the pedal 5 times and holding it in the 5th time, I bled the rear valve first 3 times, then the pass rear 3 times, then driver rear 3 times, then pass front 3 times, then driver front 3 times. Did it 3 times each side all 3 times I've bled. Brakes are solid now
