I know I probably should get the LTX M/S2's, but...

I do like the look of a more aggressive tire.

how bad is a 265/75 16 AT or aggressive tire gonna kill my mpg's?
how bad is the noise?
Steering? handling?
...

a) screw mpg's...a 4x4 Taco needs hoss tires

b) noise?...turn up the tunes

c) want steering/handling...buy a ferrari

d) give it up old man...get the Michelin's and enjoy the smooth ride to the barber shop

You won't notice any noise change. You will notice the MPG change. Your truck will look noticeably better.

 

Larry, I roll with MS2's, not what I would consider an aggressive tire at all, its all about street. I wanted to have an aggressive looking tire at first, but finally came to my senses and went with the Michelin's. 99% of my driving being on the hard surface the MS2's just made sense. After having them on for a few months, hindsight I feel like it was an excellent choice. They are super quiet, handle great wet or dry, long wearing, ride great and I should get 70-80k with proper care. You may want to read the reviews on tirerack.com and compare tires. Maybe consider the Michelin MS2 AT's? In the end go with whatever makes you happy! Cheers!

Everything what David said, Larry, and I might add that the 70-80k is probably on the conservative side. I have a customer that has an 06 DC LB that has over 100k on his and still loves them. The A/T2 is still a quiet tire and will get you tons of life, not as much as the ms2, but thats by design. If you want the aggressive look, go with the A/T2's. Buy them at DTC, do your research, get the best price, and if you don't like them, there's a 30 day ride on any tire you purchase, so take them back for the M/S2's. Get the Michelin LTX AT2. More agressive tread but they ride really good, and will last. They have a little off road tire moan between 40-50, but it's not bad at all. I've got them on mine with 22,000 miles on them and you can't even tell they are worn.

 

All I can add is go with what you feel is most important and will make you most happy. I was going back and forth with the same thoughts, I wanted something that would look good but since 99.9% of my driving is highway and interstate I wanted something that would be the most practical and give me the best performance. I finally decided on the MS2's, I guess I'm more of a function over fashion person.
