I’m getting new tires. Mine have 45,000 miles and truck is 4.5 years old. If I don’t replace TPMS sensors I fear batteries will die before replacing tires again. I don’t know how to disable TPMS light once that happens. Discount Tires will install new sensors if I bring them with no additional charge. Are most people replacing them when buying tires? If not, un-mounting tires off wheel to replace sensors will cost more. I have found a set of 4 at TPMS.com, OEM Pacific TPMS sensors, 315 MHz, $40 each. Part number 42607-06030. Their rep said these have 40 degree angle which matches my factory TRDOR wheel. Am I correct that these are “pre-programmed” So that the scan tool at Discount Tire and calibrate them to my truck’s computer? Any advice appreciated. This seems like a big pain. The dealer wants $100 per sensor and $20 each to install. That’s too much money. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Maybe I can just ignore it for now. If they fail, buy the set and just pay the labor to install all 4 at once. Probably just an extra $100 to install the set. If the originals can last 5 more years, it’s worth a try. Thanks. Just wondered how long others were lasting. 10 years is good
