UCA's JBA or SPC?

I still have all the suspension from my 13 stored in the attic that had 15k on the clock when I lifted it, I do not find it hard to believe that these are legit, just look at the bushings and they will tell the story.

 

I was set on the Total Chaos, but after reading up on them seems like a lot have switched from those to SPC because of the adjustability... I don’t plan to go over a 285/75/16 so I’m most likely going to go with the JBA myself. I’ve heard good things about both SPC and JBA but the $200 price difference now is kind of a no brainer.

I’m replacing my LCA arm bushings with whitelines, my factory ones are currently trashed.

 

Thanks for the info. My LCA bushings are trash too. 131k miles on them! So not complaining. I had 2 different alignment techs tell me they need replaced in order to get my alignment back in and to hold. So after much research, I found it'll be best to just get whole new LCA's to replace the ball joint as well. I decided to go with the JBA STD High Caster UCA's and the Moog LCA's. I wish Moog made their CK version of LCA's for the 2nd Gen Tacoma. I just got off the chat with a Rep from them and he said they don't for the TRD OR 4x4 version, but do for the base. I will probably rebuild the OEM LCA's with great components (maybe the Moog K-series bj's? and some good bushings) and either use them sometime down the road or try to sell them. Let us know how you like those Whitelines!

 

im looking to get a set of ucas but im concerned that the increased caster of the jba will push my tire rearward (towards the cab) and causes rubbing issues. i have some front end damage that already makes this a problem for me

 

I'm currently debating the same between these two uca's andJBA seems to be the better of the two. However, jba has clearance issues, does it not? I'm concerned I'd be rubbing on the uca with the larger tires I'm planning on. They have wheel offsets listed on the jba website but they seem pretty specific.

 

im concerned with the caster pushing my wheel too far backwards in my wheel well. think i have good amount of wheel offset to keep the tire away from the UCA though

 

Same since I'm trying to fit larger tires. But in contrast, my offset is +4 with 4.5 backspace. Seems like I'd be pushing my tires really close to the uca. And I'm not willing to use spacers.

 

That’s the point. The built in caster actually allows for a higher caster number which In turn moves the part of the tire that rubs forward. Jba also makes a standard replacement uca with no caster built in.
