That feeling when you name your truck, start the 'gram, create an account on TW and then realize that EVERYONE has named their truck Betty White? And that includes your own sister

This is my first Taco, traded in my beautiful old Suby for it. I live in a very small, isolated northern community, and I have to drive 350km on active forest service roads just to hit pavement, so I needed a major upgrade. Went in to buy a Taco and put my own lift on it, but then the dealership did the ol' oh just take the pro for a drive, we know you don't want to buy it, but just give it whirl... and then I bought it...

Currently eating all that debt from buying a pro, but I'm hoping to start building this girl into a beast in the new year. I've never done ANY mods to a vehicle, so I'm excited to start this journey and I'll be on this forum a lot to learn from all of your mistakes ;)

The question is will the real Betty White outlive the Taco Betty Whites. Tough to bet against the RBW.

I mean, She's 98, so that at least makes it 70/30 against for the trucks

Naw, she'll outlast us all. If 2020 takes her out, I'm gonna be PO'd

Man, I love the soft caps. I needed a cap right away (driving 8 hours from grocery store to home means you fill that box and you don't want it getting wet), so I just grabbed the first one that I found that would fit. I got it at cost, so I can't complain too much, but I wish I would've had time to shop around a bit.

This is the obligatory at the dealership photo:

And with her new ARE cap:

Next will be new tires, since I've already gotten 3 flats.....

I guess she just drives on nails and screws?

    I haven’t had 3 flats total in 20 years.

I live on an FSR, which is just sharp shale rocks. E load (10 ply tires) are mandatory. I made the huge mistake of trusting the dealer when they told me the stock tires could handle it. I also didn't like the K02s I had on my suby, but they never got a flat!

I went even further than necessary, 2400 km round trip! But I was there on vacation, not a special trip for the Taco
