The pitch of the hill pushed me right in. Wasnt having any traction issues in the rain until that moment. Shout out to this homie from Pagosa Springs to bail my ass out. This guy is a savage. We lost our minds when he drove down that creek bed in what was very fast moving water.

Damn, did anything break when your truck went in? That would be a scary moment going over the edge!

Luckily no. Pretty unscathed. Step bar is slightly bent but i am getting rock sliders anyway. Drove it 14 hours home the next day.

Got redemption as I drove straight thru it after I got pulled out. Homie on 40s was showing off and went thru in reverse!

Thanks Yukon for sharing the video
Super crazy. Its all pleasantly following the stream then lifts up into the air like you said can see your Taco lower left of frame.
Its like its possessed around the 2-minute mark. Bobbing up and down. Like you said trying to regain control.
Then it goes into what I like to call "lawn mower mode" as it tries to trim the trees around it.
It probably sensed the trees and tried to adjust then a branch above it caught the rotor and down she goes.
    Agh man!
Looked like a great location to fly too!
Glad to hear you were able to get it back.

I try to fly mine at least once a week. Post most of it on https://www.instagram.com/jacksoncrabb/?hl=en

Sometimes I will add a post about flying drones on my blog too, https://jacksoncrabb.wordpress.com/category/technology/drone/

Have you had it up since then?

I've a holiday into the mountains coming up and down into the Okanagan Valley. Brining it with for that trip. But once its back, I've got it ready for a refresh.
Mine keeps losing transmission around 200m from the take off point. Video is super choppy. Tried a video yesterday it was AWFUL! I'll post it up on YouTube.

Perhaps we should start a thread in here about drones? if there is not one already started.

Hey Ryan... the video is operational. It only lasts 2 minutes 15 seconds, then it crashes due to a collision with tree branches. It was lost in the woods for a week, or so per YukonToyotaTRD. Then miraculously he found it again. We asked him to post the video. Which is why the video from 2 minutes 16 seconds until 10 minutes 15 seconds is just ground cover as its lying crashed beneath a tree. Hopefully that helps with why the video doesn't seem to be working. Cheers AB_Taco, eh!

Too perfectly actually. The approach and departure angles were a little too steep combined with slick. Completely stupid mistake, thought it was just a dip in the road...not a mudhole. Luckily some dude in an avalanche wasn't far behind me and pulled me out at like 5:30 in the morning.

When it started to lower into the treeline downstream, it was at a critical power level. I had re-established a connection with it in the last little bit, but it was at that point where it was coming down no matter what. I was just happy to get it away from the water.

It took me a while (throughout the following week) to realize that I could match up the drone's GPS log to a satellite view of where I was, to be able to find it. Once I did that, and went back for it, it took all of about 5 minutes to find it in the woods. And yes, I have had it up since!

Here's another video of that stream..
