2020 OR Build Getting Started (vF, 6112/5160, Icon AAL, Borla, etc.)

Hey y'all!

Been playing with vF this week... I have a 04B91 ECU and its puking all over the 3.5L tunes... getting the dreaded Brake Override Malfunction stall-out with all the files in the pack. Flashed back to stock and am waiting for Rafael to bless me with magic. We'll see how that goes.

While the tune is playing out I decided to place orders for my first round of mods.

My OR has had some vibes since I picked it up a few weeks ago (@ 500 miles on it now), so I plan to get it fitted with a 1-piece driveshaft to try to eliminate them. Knowing I want a little lift, I'm getting all that in place before doing the driveshaft.

Went with Bilstein 6112 (600lb) / 5160 with an Icon 5100 1.5" AAL and the ECGS 8" Clamshell Bushing. Gonna get to a 1.5" lift all around, level with no rake.

Also want to open it up a little bit, so ended up prioritizing intake/exhaust over armor (which I desire but do not require for my main usage). Ordered a Borla Cat-Back S-Type and an aFe Momentum GT Pro Air Intake. Don't mock the CAI... I know its not the be-all... just being thorough.

Hoping to have all of it in hand and installed within a month or so. Will post pics.

You’ll see all kinds of errors on the MFD during flashing. Are you still seeing errors after flashing, shutting truck off then starting it?

 

Yup... Brake Override Malfunction... every time with all the tunes.
