Beer is of the highest quality carbs.

Actually right now, not the best quality.
Unless I'm willing to compromise my performance on my ultras, which I'm not, you are going to be taking in some form of sugar for fueling. So I'm eating junk like candy bars, oreos, nutter butters, peanut butter and nutella sandwiches, dextrose powder etc.
I have to practice my fueling strategies as well, I can't wait until race day to invent my methods.

It's an unfortunate reality of endurance training. Not happy about it, but it has to be done.

Outside of fueling for my runs, I eat very well. I eat all whole foods.

I'm finally back on a decent diet...(didn't eat anything) I fell off there for 10 days or so... That's not like me... Anyways, back at it. Time to bulk... Slowly this time. Last year I went ham and it wasn't good. Gonna take things slow.

    Inb4 3 weeks from now I'm 220 from 199

    Be well :)

I will say this. The last two weeks fasting has been hell.

Not entirely sure if its due to the carbs or the fact that I’m in the land of insanity on the cardio (68 miles scheduled this week).

Benefit of a home gym...the only one mocking me relentlessly is my wife, but she isn't focused on the small calves

Cmon slackers. We need more noodz, workout stories and shit posting.

have a “timber frame carry” event in my comp in January. Says 450lbs. Wanted a sick leg pump today so threw 420 on the hex bar just for shits and giggles. Eaaasssyyy weight. Stoked for the comp.

    Nothing exciting here to report.

    I am skipping Nationals though.....

I don't feel I am where I need to be and the timing of it isn't gonna work with my schedule. Sucks but it is what it is. Having said that the big comp I won in Jan 2020 is back on for Jan 2021 so I have started prep for it. It's gonna be massive. It's now a ProAm show with 1st-3rd getting Nationals bids AND an Arnold qualification.

Plan is to be at 265-270 by mid November then start a little test/tren bulk to 290ish. I'll still be the lightest heavyweight again, but I like it that way.
