Please forgive me for asking...I have searched and can not find a definitive answer to a question I have.

2017 Tacoma Limited, I purchased used, previous owner added 2.5 Rancho Lift/Leveling kit with new Upper Control Arms and coil overs. He also swapped stock wheels to 18 x 9 American Racing atx188 chrome wheels with 265/70-18 tires.

My question is I would like to go to a 17"inch Black wheel like the 4Runner wheels. I cannot figure out what offset wheel I can go with and run either a 265 or 275/70-17 tire and not have rubbing issues. Both tire sizes say I can use a wheel width of 7-8.5.

So say I go with an 8 inch wheel then What OFFSET do I need to maintain suspension clearance and not stick out from the wheel well more than say 1/2 inch!

Thank you in advance for any input.
