I had a 3” spacer lift with tubular uca’s installed and there is such a steep angle on the control arm the boot won’t seat on the ball joint. There is also almost no clearance between the spring coil and uca. Doesn’t seem right...
It seems as if the spindle needs to be extended but I can’t find that option for a 4x4
Truck is a 2009 trd sport with oem bilsteins with old man emu springs.
    Please help!!

Too much lift, SPC's might give you that room but its too must push on the strut.

you have a spacer and ome springs? you probably have like 5 inches of lift right now.

remove that black metal piece thats on top of your shock.

The 885s are providing almost 3" of lift on their own. They're also not a good pair for the factory shocks. You have a couple paths forward.

    • Remove the old man emu coils and put factory coils on. Leave the spacer up top.
    • Put in a bilstein 5100 shock with the old man emu coil. Remove the spacer up top.
You are currently at WAY too much lift, hence the zero down travel and your UCA resting on the coil. Something has to change.

Not quite. On the plus side, you're halfway there to a decent front end set-up. I highly recommend getting some 5100s, putting the 885s on and ditching the spacer. It'll ride great and keep you at a normal lift.

This is what you want. Shop and call around to make sure they're actually in stock before you buy. Also in the interim, remove that spacer ASAP if you plan to continue driving around.

Lol My buddy’s shop is a little small town shop and usually works on your grandmas cars. Doesnt typically install lifts ‍♂️.
I am welder by trade (actually welding trainer) so no real mechanic skills on my end
I appreciate all of your help so quickly!
I also live learning stuff!! Thanks so much!
I’ll prolly get the adjustable shocks and get rid of the spacer

That's what we're here for brother. We all have to start somewhere and you did the right thing by asking the question. If you do get the 5100, leave the c-clip as low as it'll go. The bottom mount is what's adjustable (by the c-clip).
