    if I'm not mistaken,
these come with 4 pod lights to put on the front
Nobody seems to be mounting them. Probably because it would cause more wind noise than putting an LED bar.

But if people are keeping them, do you re-purpose them to use in other places?
Such as to put on ditch light brackets near the hood and a-pillar base

I used one set as ditch lights, and the other set will be mounted on the back to be used as switched back up lights/ bed lights.

I just installed these this weekend. Can anyone comment on the quality? Was a bit skeptical on the durability since they came with the rack. If they fail, it would be a pretty simple swap for something different.

Personally, gave all four to my dad. He's either putting them on his bass boat for early AM and night fishing or has accessory reverse lights on his truck.

I went with these since they were a good deal and made for the truck. I didn’t want to go overboard on a light setup that I would only be using on occasion. We will see how they hold up to the New England winter. There are other companies which have much higher quality out there, like Cali Raised for example. Amazon has several others also.

Also, highly recommend pairing these with the Cali Raised OEM light switch. Just got that installed this evening and it cleaned it up well.

Probably a lot more economical to mount scene pods and grab handles to the rack it’s self

That looks great! I'm curious what you store in the flat Plano cases. I like the look but am not sure what I would use them for.

Thanks for all of the pictures and details about installation and modifications fellas. Does anyone have any long-term updates for how this rack is holding up?

I'm 6+ months in, no issues at all. Powdercoat is holding up nicely even with hauling my kayak on it pretty often. No leaks since install but I added some silicone to the holes before putting each bolt in and haven't put my weather strips back on either.

I’m 4 months in. I’ve strapped cargo to it a few times. I like the idea of the boxes but I have a baby coming and the only thing I’ll be hauling for a while definitely won’t have the words “camping gear” in them lol. I’m pumped to be a dad though

Can anyone hook me up with measurements for the mounting brackets? Width at base, height, and width at top?

    Thanks in advance!
