Old fart whine.

Is it just me or would other people just rather pump their gas in piece and quiet without being bombarded with annoying advertising from the damn pump????????

The first time this happened to me the pump was playing some obnoxious ad SO LOUD that I just hung up the handle, paid my $.52, and went to another gas station.

 

What were they trying to sell you?

 

Yeah the TV on the pump is just annoying.

 

I'm with ya on this one! It's horrible! Like I'm going to stand there and watch it too? Cmon now!

 

And for the 3 min you’re standing there pumping you see the same ads play at least 2-3 times each

I saw one lady just watching the screen like the Superbowl or Dr Oz or best thing on TV..........just some damned ad. I guess it works, but c'mon man!

 

What irks me more are the mindless mouth breather drone kids fixated on their phones wandering behind their parents while I am food shopping....
I do like to see them bounce off the front of my cart though....

You did the right thing. Your already purchasing a product from them and they still insist on assaulting your senses with more ads for rip-off garbage. Fuck that. I’ll fill my truck with cans of TruFuel before I’d put up with that, lol

 

I’m old, my farts are more bass like, not whining, but the pump BS is just more electronic subliminal mind control. I get my truck and crank the radio.

 

That’s why I pump at Costco

 

Now if they were ads for Tacoma accessories that might be worth watching.

 

1st world problems.
Use the locking mechanism or stuff the gas cap under the handle and walk away.
Holding onto the pump handle for the entire fill is like walking up to a dirty stranger and holding hands for five minutes. lol

 

Meh, just add to the massive list of BS I tune out every day. Some of them are obnoxiously loud.
Wait til the criminals figure out these are great for covering sounds while they sneak up on folks.

 

I guess i should be thankful we still have old school pumps from decades ago installed where i get my fuel......pumps are old but not the fuel.

 

Definite First World problem.

 

If they’d play this I’d stay and top it off instead of the $7.00 I put in to get the fuck out of there. Edit: there should be “male” “female” “other” button to activate the screen and maybe I’d stay longer

 

Its a dilemma for me. On one side of the street, gas is 2c cheaper, no ads on the pumps, but there is always a long line. And every broke motherfucker in that line has to park at the pump, waddle into the store to stand in another line to slap a sweaty ass 20 down for cigs, oh and please apply the change to activate pump#3. Its usually a good 20 minute affair to get gas there.

On the other side of the street, gas is 2c more, there are obnoxious ads, and there is almost no one at any of their 10 pumps.

Usually I just start the pump then find an excuse to go look at the tread wear on the passenger front or something.

 

They have a clearly marked mute button where I pump and I've never had an empty receipt thing either. Only place I fill up!

 

Yeah, I just go to the place that charges more, safer that way. we've got some real creatures roaming around, and bet your ass they're at the cheap gas n booze n cigs n lottery shit holes. Not worth dealing with the element to save 14 cents.
