Doing some work on a 2TR-FE. Looking at different info I accidentally came across the fact that the compression ratio on 2015+ 2TR-FE engines is slightly higher than on those manufactured prior to 2015. If I was to swap them out would I run into any problems? I haven’t noticed any difference in cams, but maybe I missed that. If the valves won’t impact the piston, will the increase in compression ratio screw with the ECU?

Probably won’t, but i would just take piston from a old engine for a other old engine, how ever if you do check tolerances twice
