Eleven years and three days ago, my parents bought me the Tacoma! This picture was taken at our old house in Furlong on October 2nd, 2009 (three days after we bought it)...

    Mostly dust and dirt.
96 GMC half ton was the epitome of cheap interior pieces constantly breaking.
2005 GMC Diesel bought new always needed new glow plugs and left me stranded twice in one year. Also had electrical problems.
The Ford F150’s I had were better but still had their problems.
I stick with Japanese and Korean vehicles now.

Could you "shoe horn" a 426 between the fenders?

That brings back memories:) It even has the white vinyl seats. The ones I had were badly stained with mildew .et .al and my mom suggested I use clorox to clean them up. She meant diluted but I used the bottle full strength and almost passed out in the car scrubbing. I used duct tape to cover up all the spots that were eaten through. About 90%. If only I had had a 426 back then...

1975 AMC Pacer purchased used with about 75K miles on it for about 400 bucks; maybe less. It was my "off to college" car. I could fill pages with the hilarity that ensued.

    John knows this story already...

So I driving on 422 in the Limerick area and there was a silver Ford Explorer in the left lane; It looked like an undercover/unmarked police SUV, and had radio antennas, but it had a normal PA plate (non-municipal; i.e. a passenger plate)...

This guy was too slow and I was already in the right lane so I went past him and got in front...

Immediately, his red and blue lights came on, and I assumed I was getting pulled over, so I turned on my hazards and prepared to pull over. As soon as I got in the right lane, his lights went off and he roared past me...

I have a bunch of prop-police stuff on my tailgate and rear window; Was this a real cop who decided to give me a break, or some douchebag who bought a Police Interceptor at auction?

What threw me off was that the Explorer had passenger plates, but after talking to my neighbor who is a former Philly cop and an on-duty local officer who was visiting the car show, I am 99% sure this was a real cop...

After viewing the dashcam footage, my dad is sure it was a real cop as well, but believes that the cop got a call and needed to get somewhere fast, and may have had no intention of pulling me over at all...

The same neighbor enlisted my help to pick up his new fridge a few months ago; Picking up the fridge went smoothly, but I encountered a rather impatient driver while waiting to pull out of parking lot...

So my neighbor is a retired Philly cop; He’s seen all sorts of crazy stuff! He was in the front seat of my truck when this went down...

So I needed to make a right onto Street Road; Normally, I’d just floor it and haul ass, but I had a brand new refrigerator in the bed and I didn’t want to risk damaged it. I waited for the cars coming from my left to pass...

While I was waiting to turn right, this young guy in a generic late model sedan of some sort (I don’t even remember I’d it was foreign or domestic) rolled up behind and started repeatedly blasting his horn...

He would stop, so I extended my arm out the open window and flipped him off (one of those rare occasions when it was not mere road rage I think someone actually deserved it); I had my blinker on and everything, and this asshole just roars around me on the left, almost having a head-on with an older man in a 2nd Gen Tundra who was turning right into the same parking lot. The guy in the Tundra of course started screaming at him, and I explained to him that the guy in the sedan couldn’t wait ten seconds for me me to turn. He shook his head at disgust at this, bid me good day, and kept going...

I finally pulled out onto Street Road; All this time, my ex-cop neighbor was just sitting there calm as could be, occasionally remarking on what a dick the guy was. We both watched as this impatient asshole continued to tailgate his way up Street Road, and all my neighbor could say was “Why is he being such a dick?” He never said anything about me flipping the other guy off :D

My neighbors are having this massive covered deck built and both central A/C units have to be relocated, so they’ve been without A/C for the last couple of weeks...

I had an actual Hawaiian dashboard hula girl (actually purchased in Hawaii, but likely made in China) that I got on a vacation in Kauai back in July 2009 (over two months before I got the Tacoma), but she fell off the dash and got damaged in 2016 or so...

    :(
