If you were closer I’d say bring it by, only takes about 30-40 mins a side.

    I don't mind driving anywhere.

I took my front stock coilovers off, so everything has been undone and nothing is seized.

I've installed coilovers on my Tacoma, same method using the bottle jack to force the assembly downward and get the eyelet to match with the lower control arm. And yes the sway bar links were undone to allow further droop.

The issue stems from the angle of the lower control arm mount and the angle of the bottom shock eyelet.

There are these alignment bushings or whatever that do twist a bit, but being forced all the way to one side still doesn't allow the holes to line up.

I couldn't get the bottom of the eyelet to spin with the shaft to match the lower control arm.

Everything's put back together with stock setup up front so yeah...

I did my ads coilovers last night. I place a crow bar on top of the upper control arm and push everything down to get the lower bolt in. I use a punch to align the misalignment bushings up with the hole and boom done.B02B8DFC-0DF4-4E70-A4B4-2340603FEB3F.jpg

I sent him a message and that's when I found his thread and found out he's only open weekends. I need this done on Tuesday specifically.

The issue wasn't pushing everything down.

No matter how much I moved the misalignment bushings with a screwdriver, the entire bottom eyelet was too canted to line up with the lower control arm.

One last suggestion that I ran into last night. My passenger side would line up either, I heated up the lower tab closest to the front end and bent it back parelllel with the other. Then everything lined up and worked. Those things bend easy when tightening down.

I was in quite some pain installing my rear shocks and coils, because my sciatica only hit about a week ago.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Hit up The4x4Shop in Livermore. They were going to install my rear suspension on my T4R but I ended up doing it myself.

Decent pricing if you ask me.
