    Is this a good deal???

Found this on Craigslist today and have been on the search for one. He is asking $450 but I think I can get it for $400. Looks new still. He is about 2 hours away so I’d have to drive or convince to meet.

They're about $800 after tax on Amazon so yes. Good deal.

I think half price is about right for Craigslist or Marketplace. Good deal.

I swear some crap I see on CL is more expensive than new. I list my stuff at a price I can feel good about, and they can feel good about.

Won't deal with low ballers though. Don't have to.

I've heard of Rugged Cover II, some decent reviews. It was one of a half dozen I looked at before making my selection. If you only get your info from TW, you likely don't hear more than two or three tonneau covers, it's a bit of herd mentality here.

It amazes me, I often see folks on CL and sometimes even here on TW selling things used that with discounts, I can get as cheap brand new. But there are good deals, just have to pass on the overpriced stuff for sure.

I've got the same cover.....Rugged Liner. Had it installed at local custom shop for $830. The salesman recommended it over the Bak and Undercover brands which either was over a grand installed. I went in to buy one of those but changed my preference. He said that they had no problems with the waterproof capabilities since it sealed better on top of the bed. This one also didn't require any holes for the drain pipes required with the other two. It locks more securely with large toggle cam levers on either side at the tailgate which can't be accessed without dropping the gate. It was also the same type as the local Toyota dealer offered as a "factory installed" option. All in all a great cover...withstood the torrential rains of our last hurricane a few weeks ago. Great deal unless something has broken in the toggle levers. By the way, this thing mounts right into the bed rails with no modifications

So my only problem with the cover after a couple weeks of use is during a heavy rain, water does seep in through the front edge (probably because the tacoma bed isn’t the same height at the front as the sides?)

any solution for that? Weather stripping?
