Just brought home my first new vehicle in 16 years. Did lots of research and settled on the 2011 Toyota Tacoma Access cab TRD off road package. Love the truck overall. but was surprised by some of the missing features. Like no locking interior boxs (glove box) and no locking gas door.

Since photo was taken have had running boards in stalled and front skid plate. Have a cap on order for it.

Just went to garage and checked. It does have intermittent wipers. Funny how the common basic things I took for granted in a new vehicle I never thought to make sure my truck would have.

Okay, I don't want to sound like a patronizing asshole, but if you plan on offroading the truck, replace the running boards with rock sliders.
The running boards do not offer any protection/strength.

Looks great though, good color choice. Did you get the 6 speed manual?

Rex 111 mdg bmet - Yupe, military Biomed for 8 years, then finally retired (as you can tell from the beard) and now doing Biomed work in the civilian sector.

Janbothius - I appreciate that you where worried about being a patronizing asshole - running boards are for handycapped wife so she can climb up into truck, with the additional aid of small step ladder. Lots of times in life you have to compromise for the ones you love. Had to go with the 5 speed manual so wife can drive it to work in winter.

Color is the Magnetic Gray Metal. Wanted to go for the light blue but that hard to get in this part of the country.
