    Greetings,

Can anyone recommend a reputable/durable H1 LED headlight bulb? I just put some Spyder projector headlights on my '07 Tacoma and plan to retrofit the stock bulbs to LED. The low beam H1 Projector bulbs have been purchased but am looking for another H1 for the high beams. I'm fairly certain the LED's (With fan) for the low beams won't fit in the housing of the high beams.. I could be wrong though.

The H1 bulbs that i've found on Amazon/eBay don't have very good reviews, and most claim they are fairly dim.

    Thanks for any input.

Unfortunately those assemblies are well known to have horrible optics and poor quality focus resulting in performance that is far worse than stock in every way. Many that run those poor quality Spyder products end up going back to stock to restore performance. Using an LED bulb in a low quality halogen assembly actually makes performance even worse and they further reduce focus and have worse optical performance.

These are likely your best bet. I'll be testing them in the 2nd Gen headlight thread soon.

If you are really set on LED, check out Hikari Ultras. They will likely produce more foreground light and less distance intensity light than the halogens, but are among the best LED designs.

Thanks for your reply, I actually just picked up a set of Hikari LED's a few days ago for the low beams.

Hikari has 2 models, you want to get the Hikari Ultras, which do a far better job of replicating a halogen and perform better than the other lower end model.

Correct, those are the ones as they are the “Ultra” version. Fan clearance can be a problem in some vehicles, in a 3rd Gen with OEM lights it is not. Cannot comment on clearance on other setups.

I'd do a projector retrofit but if you aren't willing to do that I had good luck with these https://www.amazon.com/KATANA-H1-He...adlight+H1&qid=1601760623&s=automotive&sr=1-4

The highbeams are going to be blinding even moreso than usual with any LED bulb no matter how well they say they keep to a halogen like patter.
Trust me I know as I had the Katana/F2s in my low beam and Morimoto 2.0 in the high beams.
