this is why its necessary to shoot from different positions and learn out to get steady. Once my rifles are sighted in I no longer shoot from a bench. I then start shooting from tripods for my spotting scope, my backpack, laying on the ground, kneeling, etc. with some practice you can learn to get real steady.

I used to own a Dillon 550B progressive reloader.
    I loaded 9 mm, .45 cal, 7.62X39, 8 mm Mauser, .222 Rem.
Then I got heavy into trapshooting and sold it.
Wish I had it back now. :frusty:

Yeah, you try to find some sort of rest whenever you can.
Even if it's just to sit your ass down when there's no other option (sometimes grass is too high for prone).

Try putting a laser on it on try holding the dot still. Especially on a pistol.
What's your scope weight? Mine is 19oz.

    Specs say 1.7 pounds.
But they got the tube diameter wrong, so...
    It better be durable.
The claim is that it's shockproof, but who really believes that? :p

Another great story!! We shot at a 12”by 12” 1/2 inch thick steel plate at 500 yards with a .308. The bullet drop was like 40”!!! Lobbed them suckers in there. I had a bullet drop compensated reticle and that target was at the bottom of the sight picture! There was a distinct delay between the percussion of the shot and the tasty ‘thwap’ when the bullet reached the target.

I have a Viridian green laser ($$) on the shelf I took off one of my handguns.
I got a short picatinny M-Lok bar to mount it forward on my handguard.
Can't mount it on top without interfering with the MBUS flip up sights.
A riser would get it up too high and put it in line with the scope.
    There will be pics.

I bought a 450 back in the early 80s. Right before they come out with the 550. :frusty:
I wish it had a round counter. I've loaded loads! of stuff for me and friends.
I have a square deal b in .45acp that was given to me.

Oh shit. I may ‘acquire’ a Dillon 550 in the near future. Buddy’s dad passed and he had two of them. I need to play my cards right.

Edit- how did it work for rifle cartridges?

I have a Hornady lock n load AP. It’s pretty awesome but I am an anal loader. o_O
If you don’t have all 5 stations loaded with a case, the die plate will flex like 3 thousandths. It doesn’t bother me for handgun loads but I like my rifle cartridges to be exact for bullet depth cuz the .308 head spaces on the neck. Yes, I trim my cases but always wanted to try a Dillon. As it is, I reload all my rifle ammo on the trusty old single stage Rock Chucker. :anonymous:

I'm starting to think about getting a Rock Chucker press and use it exclusively for .223/5.56 NATO.
I'm gonna have a lot of brass shortly.
It would be a pity to waste it.
