    Disappointed to hear they've gone up in price since I bought mine...
    Unless something's changed, however, that's AU $150 which is ~US $107.

    I was under the impression they were still closer to the $60-$80 USD figure.

    FWIW I purchased one to set up my wife’s Crosstrek a few weeks ago and it was $68.xx USD

    That's great, for those who want the fuse type solution, but that's definitely not what all of us want and doesn't appear to be what @ramonortiz55 meant when commenting that "The one recommended by OP is $150." This is a common misconception regarding the HKB solution (listed in the OP) because of the exchange rate. I simply pointed out that it's actually closer to $100 than $150.

    I'm not sure what that has to do with the fuse type solution? :confused:

    Just ordered a northstar battery group 31 from gpcaraudio for $378 total. I didn’t think the extra 8 pounds difference in the group 31 over the 27 would be a big enough difference in weight versus the actual spec difference in power ratings personally so although I probably won’t need the 31 I got it just in case for $25 more roughly. I have a noco genius 5 charger mounted underneath the hood on my truck that I’ve got hooked up at all times to my blue sea fuse block which goes directly to my battery. All I have to do is plug it in an AC wall socket to charge and it has desulfurization smart mode built into it

    I've had my X2 Power installed for about a year, not realizing it wasn't being charged properly. I also only drive about 40min/30miles 5 days/wk.

    I ordered the aussie voltage booster and am waiting for its arrival.

    Do you feel my battery has been degraded/damaged due to under charging for this long a period?

    Worst case you just have some minor sulfation on the plates, charging at the correct voltage should help reverse the issue. If you wanted to be extra cautious many battery chargers have a reconditioning setting that will use electrical pulses to quickly reverse sulfation.

    As for the mod itself, it's just a no frills, no modification to the part itself to achieve the desired outcome solution which capitalizes on the original diode replacement solution. :)

    So i just received my north star group 31 today and by just eyeballing it there is no way this thing is going to fit my 2017. Aren’t some running 31 in 3rd gens or did i screw up and order a $375 battery that isn’t gonna fit?

    I cannot comment for 3rd Gen fitment in the stock location, but that is a lot of weight for the OEM tray. Other members have had their sheet metal and welds tear/crack. If using a Group 31 I’d look at a remote mount.

    It’ll fit you’ll need to get a battery cage and longer tie down hooks. Granted I’ve got a 2nd gen I used Rago’s battery cage it’s a solid product.
    I also put some thick weather stripping across the bottom so it’d have a bit of dampening and no metal/metal contact. upload_2020-10-8_11-3-23.jpg
