I have an 01 Tacoma and I would like to safely put wheel spacers on. I ran into “lug centric” and “hub centric” and am not sure what to look for. What should I get?

Spacers with hub adapters only make mounting a wheel easier initially - if you’re properly torquing conical lug nuts it’s always going to center the wheel and be “lug centric”. I’d go for ones with hub rings only for the fact that it’s a little bit easier to mount a wheel. Everything else you read on here is false. Credible (albeit more expensive) brands like BORA and Spidertrax are often preferred by people on here but they use cheap Chinese studs just like your $50 a pair eBay specials.

Thanks! Is there anything else I need to know? Or can I just grab some ones that have 6 lugs? I saw something about size of the spacer and the proper torque to set them at and I was just curious on where to find that information

    Yup - 6x5.5 with a 106 mm hub bore / ring.

Here’s all information directly from the owner of BORA:

Use these for the spacers, at least up front:

Alright sweet. So no difference in 1st gen vs 2nd gen? That was the biggest issue I ran into when researching. Also how wide can I go? I have a 2 & a half inch suspension on the front

No difference with hub or lug pattern. 1.25 - 1.5 wide spacers are probably better.

I like the longer lug idea - but do bora spacers have a tapered thread or is it round to fit these longer lugs you mentioned?
