So let's say it does fail and my spring just slides down the strut. The LCA should rest on the bumpstop, allowing me to limp it to the side of the road, right?

Also, does it bother anyone else that an entire corner of the truck is held up by a teeny tiny snap ring?

Yes but you really don't want that to happen especially at any kind of speed it might cause you to loose control.

 

You'd be surprised what else holds that truck together
Maybe more duct tape is in order

 

BTW these are alot of fun, easy to learn hard to master

 

We went axe throwing this past January for my father in laws bday. So much fun once you yet the hang of it. I cant bring myself to throw my camping axe; too much sentimental value. But ive been wanting to grab one specifically for throwing.

Gotta go to a wedding today. Ugh. Usually like these things but not during Covid. It was originally supposed to be just 30 ppl but apparently theres going to be more than that..

On a positive note, my order of Eastwood internal frame coating arrived yesterday and my woolwax spray gun, extension wands, and woolwax should be here today.

I coated the inside box section of my frame with a can of eastwood last year after the sliders got welded on. Figured id rinse the frame down good, let it dry, and hit the box sections again with a second can before laying on the woolwax. I have been worried that one can didn't fully cover the paint that peeled opposite the welds, so this will be extra peace of mind.

I was in Danbury this morning for coffee with the guys.

Bad accident at east bound rt84 exit 7 & rt 7 north.
Stuck in traffic for 45 mins.

Anybody have any info.

It was bad that the hwy dept put down a lot or dirt to absorb all the liquids and a lot of the guard rails etc
Were being replaced as well

Dunno about that one, but had one last week up at X9 where they had to cut open the car, also were mowing last week closing down 1 lane each side. Been a bunch of bad accidents on the hwy near Danbury lately. Getting too crowded down here...
