    My '02 (9/1 mfg) has no skid plate that I can see. It looks like a naked tank...strap in the rear and three bolts in the front. The three bolts also hold a small deflector plate. Oh well, one less thing to do before I lower the tank. I need to replace the Tank Vent Valve so, if you have any words of wisdom, please share.
