I am talking about the 2 6mm or 8mm threaded holes in the pully to mount the special tool to hold the crank while you break the bolt loose. gimme a min and i will take a pic of the stock pulley and tool.

Its when the impact has seated the bolt and you keep hammering on the bolt with the impact until you feel its good and tight.

My aviation work was always military, but no, it’s a specific torque value or range.

But why is my only question here?

The crank pulley is easy enough to pull out, and it's not like it's a press on fit, so those bolt holes and those tools required to pull it are almost redundant. Especially when you are removing the thing with an impact in the first place. Lol.

Sounds like he was more concerned with putting it back on not pulling it. those tools were useless to me. Impact and good to go.

Should I be concerned? I'm about to pull it back off and cut some more if that's necessary. It's almost touching with 1mm of clearance on the back. Flush on the front. Maybe 1 more turn of the pulley tool.

Edit: see fun bendy times when I removed it. Anyone have a 2.7 stealth they'd like to sell? Don't have enough tools to knock this back (safely)

I do have to mention that I still love my spec.U headers and equal length urd exhaust with the factory tundra muffler in place of the magnaflow. A bit raspy at certain rpm/load/throttle placements but very easy to drive around and still great under mexico conditions. Seriously the truck has never ran better. The Ruthenium's and factory tundra muffler are amazing. For my truck right now. I am sure I can mess with something else and screw it up soon.

So has everyone gone to these rutheniums? What is the solid choice if rutheniums are not going to be used??

My only question is why? o_O

Rutheniums are snake oil bro. It's all in your head. ;)

    Iridium IKH22's

There is no sense in going IKH24 at your power levels. All you will do is create misfires and foul the plug sooner. I would recommend the IKH24s only once you are making around 450HP, which would mean you are running a 4.5L engine like @mightytacoman as well as cams, cam gears, running some very free flowing exhaust and have done some extensive porting work with our setups.

My plan is when I do my headers, I’ll do the cam gears and obviously the plugs since it will all be exposed. I’ll have 35k on my plugs. Even if the are rather clean I’ll do it.
