A bunch of Karens in here. Did you try complaining to the manager to get your meal for free?

Move out of suburbia if you don't want to have difficult neighbors. I've met 1 of my neighbors. I met him once. He lent me some coals to melt some ice in my driveway, he passed away 5 years ago. Best neighbor I've ever had.

You mentioned at least one of them is 18. Do they live there themselves or with their parents? Guessing the former..

Bunch of Karens? Hardly. We have two neighbors that think everyone enjoys listening to their ****ing fur-babies (hate that word) bark all damn day. One is a large mutt, the other is a yellow lab. Today, it started at 6am, continued all afternoon. It's been going on for two years. HOA sends nastygrams, police are basically useless. They seem to always show up during the minutes the bastards aren't barking. The one right across the street, the owner will take the dog out at 11pm, then stand there and scream at the dog, "What's taking you so long, hurry up and piss". No consideration that windows are open and people might be in bed. No, I'm becoming more and more convinced people suck and are entitled, self absorbed, selfish, self centered phucs. I don't want some peace and consideration from neighbors. I EXPECT it. It's called being a person and realising the world doesn't stop at the little twenty foot bubble around yourself.

I do my best to be a great neighbor, my dog starts barking she gets quieted down. Don't blast my music, snow blow the neighbors walks if there not out. When we were having our hot tub and deck/roof installed I told the neighbors on either side it might be nosiy at 7am the net few mornings, apologies.... You know that whole do unto others, thingie. Nothing Karen about that.

I was "brave" and asked a loud party at a neighbors to turn the music down (not off) on a sunday afternoon.I thought it went well till they heckled me as I walked away.

They cowardly broke my wifes mirror 2 hours later, the cameras couldnt prove it so I was left with 100$ damage and an angry neighbor.

When I was single I agree with that adage, but now that I have a little family that they can take shit out on, I call bylaw or the cops.

Aww so cute and trite. Reality is, laws exist because, well, sometimes people are assholes. My way of dealing with the non stop barking dogs would be to tell the owner once and once only your dog is annoying the entire neighborhood with its incessant barking. Quiet down or I’ll do it for you. K? The second time would be to shoot the ****ing dog and smack the shit out of the owner for pushing me into doing that.

But since there’s actually laws against that, I’ll keep calling the police on the pieces of shit.

And while we're on the subject of asshole neighbors....Either a close 2nd place or a tie for 1st are neighbors that let their cats roam. My wife and I have extensive landscaping, which has become a litter box for the neighborhood asshole's cats. It's really great to kneel down to plant flowers and put your hand in a pile of cat sh!t. Or the dog digs it up for a snack. Or the five rabbit carcasses I had to remove from under the deck because of the stench. Not to mention paw prints all over my wife's Jeep, my Tacoma, scratch marks, using the soft top on my son's Jeep as a scratching post, pissing on the tires...

Keep your damn cats in the house where they belong. That's where mine are. In the house. Just don't get it. Law requires I keep my dog under control at all times, but the CCL's fight every restriction on cats.

Most cats are easily caught with live traps. Had a former in-law that had a major cat problem. He tried talking to the neighbor about the health hazards of his kids finding dead birds and cat shit in their swing set. Then he live trapped it, it was easy, the cat took the bait the first night he set the trap. He dropped it off to the local shelter, who contacted the owners, who brought the cat home. That cat might have had three or four subsequent cycles of trap, shelter, home, before the owners finally got tired of it and started keeping him inside.

That would work, except you an longer drop cats off at the Humane League. You have to call, there is a waiting list. Like two to three months. And if you drop one off and leave you'll be charged with animal abandonment. Can carry a sentence of up to two years and $22,000. And I sure as hell ain't housing them till there is room at the inn. Just don't get this fascination with cats that run loose.
