    Morning everyone,

So long story short I need to replace the snap ring on my drivers side 5100 with OME 885. The lean has been bugging me for months since I lifted it, can I put the snap ring on the driver's side at the 0.85" slot to counter act? Or will that make it too high on that side?

Put the 1/4 lean spacer on it and move on

Unfortunately I don't have it, and I need to get this thing on ASAP. My snap ring is failing and I'm hesitant to wait any longer. Though I suppose I could replace the snap ring now, get the alignment as close as possible, put the spacer in whenever it gets delivered, and then get it aligned... Where does the spacer go? 20201002_133408.jpg

Between the top hat and the mount? So drop the whole assembly, put it on the top, and reinstall? No taking the spring off? Because I absolutely hate compressing springs...

Yes, someone else will have to answer that for sure. I had 1/2” on my 2nd gen fronts that needed longer studs so it had to come apart, not sure about 1/4 if they are good to go or not.

    Or ask @HeadStrong Off-Road

    Correct.
No disassembly. Just set it on top of the assembled spring/shock. You are going to need longer studs that go up into the mounting plate.

I replaced my tophats when I did the original install, and if I remember they were a little longer... Let me take a look tonight. Thanks for the info! I migh tjust continue living with the lean for now. Around Christmas I plan to get myself a big ol' steel bumper, so I'll need new springs then anyways

Sure thing. Just make sure you have enough threads to get the whole nut on plus a few threads.
