    That is exactly it.

With Torque being down on Android 11, I am attempting to get more comfy with OBD Fusion. I need to get more values set up as my current screens are missing some. I will then at least know what current normal throttle is. :D

So did this do what you were hoping for? I just got done tweaking the lower values some as well. See what that does.

I think it's the case that we want the 3D models to look "good" and somehow that will equate to "better".
Honestly the butt dyno (from a drivability perspective) didn't show me improvement.
Also, since I don't know what these tables actually do, I went back to an earlier version with far less mods. Basically what I'm running now is Mat's original smoothing suggestion with just a bit of 600-1000 value increases. My latest file combines that with the 1st gear throttle limit table mod.
In short, I didn't see a benefit to what I did, so I went back to something simpler.
Also, you may run into issues if you start messing with the lower green area of the map (lower on the Torque axis).

Based on Toyota’s logic, something lumpy is probably the smoothest and most consistent lol

Does anyone have the idiots guide to logging with either tech stream or VF tuner?

I raised the lower values as such:

    Expected Airflow columns:
    34.375 went up by *110,*105,*110
    22.916 went up the same
    17.187 went up by *105, *110

smoothed out a major dip in that area. Seems to have zero negative values. Maybe a little smoother power deliver?

    Hey, Folks.

Attached is a spreadsheet with the Air Load Control maps from OVT's 04B04 Example Final from this post:
Thanks, @Saeros for pulling the map data!

The first four worksheets are the maps from the 04B04 Example tune. The Lambda 0.82 and 0.99 values are the same.

The last four worksheets are a comparisons between 04B04 Stock / OVT 2.0 and 04B14 Stock / OVT and the differences between them. Zero!!

    :woot:

There are some creases in the Example tune maps. I gotta smooth them! LoL!

EDIT: I made a quick change to reorder the first four worksheets to avoid confusion. Sorry!

    :headbang:

I was thinking about how to better visualize and smooth the maps . . .

    In Excel:
    -- Select the data
-- Go to: Insert / Chart / Surface
    -- Click Okay!

I'm not too worried about axis labels at the moment. More about smoothing those puppies.

To move it around: Right click on the chart and pick 3D Rotation.

I made a Thread Title edit since Air Load Control seems more accurate?

Also, the 04B04 Example maps were gnawing at me, so I got to it and will give these a try. My 04B14 edits look rough in comparison. Both files are attached.

I will be loading the first four maps on the 04B04 file into my existing tune. OVT's 04B04 Example maps are the second group of four.

And, I will test the revised High Idle settings (all at 900rpm).

Crossing fingers that there is at least no rocky throttle / heavy tip in.

I keep wanting to jump on this OVTune bandwagon....it just seems so damn complicated. I’m more of a load it up and roll kinda guys - not a tweaker

    There are options for that:
-- With sharing now allowed in vF, there are a lot of folks out there that can do just that. @G8R_Taco ?
-- The 2.0 Full tunes are PnP and excellent! No real reason to edit unless the bug bites you to tweak.
-- The TSB tunes are a huge leap on the 2016s through 2018s and are easy to flash at home.
    -- Stay Stock?

The big asterisk here is that OVT / vF is not hard at all. Just a bit of dancing around to get setup, which we are all happy to help with any questions, and very easy to understand after a flash or two. I had never flashed any vehicle before the Taco. In the end, it isn't much different than putting a new OS on your phone or getting set up at an app store or forum.

    TL/DR: We can help you!

Thanks for all that man. Most appreciated :)

Sounds great. I’m a few weeks out from a suspension install on my 2019 and then will start gettin this planned. Highly likely I’ll be reaching out for guidance.

    You're welcome!

Post up anything that you got.

If the editing bug bites and you're an AT, the folks in the main vF thread seem to have been making big strides on personalizing the shifting.

The new maps felt very good on a 15mi drive. I think it is an improving from the initial feel of it.

Note that I updated the spreadsheet. For viewing, I had all cells at on decimal place. With value Pastes into vF, it will only paste those decimals. So, I updated the file to shown the max stored decimals (four places).

I'm looking forward to the fast idle change in the morning. I will have a solid feel for the tip in then. I think it is good though.
