They are both still very sharp "upstairs". Dad's a bit more active than mom tho. He has 5 chainsaws, 2 JD 4wd tractors, a '57 Ford 8N tractor, 3 JD riding mowers, etc., etc....and he still uses them all on a regular basis. He's just started to come to terms with the fact that he can't do as much as he used to. He told me yesterday "but I ain't quitting!"

I finally got to an orthopedic specialist today. Doc says it's trigger finger.

She gave me a shot of Cordisone right in the palm below the middle finger.

 

The fires really suck, all over California. Fortunately on the good side vineyards have been popping up all over the state in the last 10-15 years. Not a wine drinker myself.

Annual visit to the eye doctor today.

So, besides the effort you don't have to put into it, is the return worth the expense? I've been in low cost index funds for 20 years or so now, and don't see that changing, so I am not interested in stock picking. I have a couple of interviews set up with FAs this week, and want them to show me how the juice is worth the squeeze. How does yours help you?
